Alice Lee's Story
Went to Sam Houston on a flute/piano scholarship....graduated in '71, (met husband there and married in '73) Taught in Tomball for 3 years and started family...had 3 sons, Aaron - now 34, Cody - 31, and Tyler - 26...Aaron has 2 girls, Katelyn 12, and Cora 6...Cody has Ryan age 1 1/2....all are characters and so much fun....Opened my own floor covering shop in 1988 in Kingwood near Intercontinental Airport in Houston and sold it 20 years later, 2008. My mom died in 1991, Daddy in 2000 after suffering a terrible and debilitating stroke, paralyzing his entire right side in 1999. I lived in Kingwood 30 + years and after selling my shop in Jan. 08, I moved to my parent's farm between Temple and Gatesville in Central Texas...have cows, goats, a neat llama that watches over the goats, a dog, of course. Live currently near my middle son, Cody - who lives in Temple right ion I-35 just S. of Waco and 45 minutes N. of Austin...Near Ft. Hood........Love Central Texas...much drier and not so much traffic as in Houston....Am selling carpe...Expand for more
t now through a friend in Gatesville, volunteer at the Methodist Church in Belton and am always looking for a new interest....was going to build houses with Cody and naturally we got stopped dead in our tracks with the economy downturn....He is a great builder and Realtor ...but the banks are not loaning money. Volunteered to be an election judge for Coryell County...while unemployed "officially" I decided to try to do something to help with this political spazz ma taz that the country is wallowing in....
Hope to reconnect with friends,,,so many from high school were just too much fun....have been divorced since 1988 and am just trekking along....would love to hear from any of you...maybe we should have some sort of reunion...we could have it here...I live in the MIDDLE of TEXAS...100 acres....can bring tents, campers, rv's, u name it.....Let's all have some fun before we're on the walkers with the tennis balls out front....it's a good idea, those tennis balls, but it really starts saying something about us....yikes!
